Lee's Donuts Coming Soon to Oakridge at Thesis by Alabaster Homes - April 2026

Vancouver, BC – Lee's Donuts, a Vancouver institution known for its fresh, handcrafted donuts, is thrilled to announce it will be joining Thesis, the exciting new mixed-use development by Alabaster Homes at 133 West 49th Avenue in Vancouver's Oakridge neighbourhood. The new location, situated directly across from Langara College, is coming soon.

A Grand Opening celebration is anticipated before the end of the year and the community can expect a classic Lee’s Donuts welcome, complete with free donuts, live DJs, an appearance by the Lee’s Donuts mascot “Johnny Glaze,” and plenty of prizes to go around — follow @leesdonuts.ca on Instagram to be the first to hear the official date, plus details on special promotions and giveaways.

A Natural Fit in a Thoughtfully Built Community

Thesis is a unified neighbourhood concept designed by award-winning architect Taizo Yamamoto and interior firm Studio Roslyn, developed by Alabaster Homes — a premier Vancouver builder known for meaningful design and community-centred spaces. The development brings together street-front retail, commercial strata, and 69 residential units in one of Vancouver's most walkable and connected neighbourhoods.

For Lee's Donuts, it's exactly the kind of home they look for. Steps from the Canada Line at West 49th and Cambie — with Downtown Vancouver and YVR both under 15 minutes away — the Thesis location puts fresh Lee's donuts at the heart of a community that includes students, young families, commuters, and long-time Oakridge residents.

"When we saw what Alabaster Homes was building at Thesis, we knew it was a perfect fit. It's a beautifully designed space in a neighbourhood that's really coming into its own — surrounded by exactly the kind of community that Lee's has always been part of. We can't wait to start baking and become part of the daily routine here."

— Allan B., Owner & CEO of Lee's Donuts Inc.

The Same Lee's DonutsYou Know and Love

All donuts at our Thesis location will be made fresh on-site, every single day — the same commitment to quality that has made Lee's a beloved Vancouver staple since opening at Granville Island Public Market in 1979. Expect the full lineup of classics: Honey Dip, Raspberry Jelly, Chocolate Glaze, and rotating seasonal favourites.
