Lee’s Donuts celebrates National Donut Day with throwback pricing and free coffee all day

VANCOUVER, BC — National Donut Day only comes once a year, and this year, Vancouver’s iconic Lee’s Donuts is celebrating in a big way. 

On Friday, June 5, Lee’s Donuts will mark National Donut Day with throwback pricing on donuts and free coffee all day at all locations across Metro Vancouver. 

For one day only, customers can enjoy: 

Throwback Pricing

• 6 donuts for $10

• 12 donuts for $19.79

The $19.79 dozen price pays homage to 1979; the year Lee’s Donuts first opened its doors and began serving handcrafted donuts at Granville Island. 

Free Coffee

• Complimentary coffee available all day at all Lee’s Donuts locations (excluding YVR Airport and Pop-Up Locations).

The one-day celebration is designed to thank customers while giving both longtime fans and first-time visitors a reason to stop by and celebrate one of the sweetest days of the year. 

“National Donut Day is one of those fun moments that brings people together,” said Allan Bacani, owner of Lee’s Donuts. “We wanted to celebrate in a way that felt true to Lee’s Donuts by giving people a reason to treat themselves, revisit an old favourite, and maybe even introduce someone new to the brand.” 

While donuts remain at the heart of the business, the celebration also offers guests an opportunity to experience Lee’s new and improved coffee program at no cost. Lee’s Donuts recently partnered with local coffee experts, listening to customers and investing heavily in improving their coffee offering, including the creation of a custom blend crafted specifically to pair with its iconic donuts. 

“We know donuts and coffee go hand in hand,” said Bacani. “We’ve been investing in improving our coffee program and National Donut Day felt like the perfect opportunity to invite customers to try it for themselves.” 

The National Donut Day promotion will be available in-store only at all Lee’s Donuts locations on Friday, June 5, while quantities last.
